Boxes of Light is an interactive projection mapping which reacts to movements of visitors. It shows different effects according to the movements by the person in front of it.
Topic of the Project was to realize an interactive installation with the multipurpose toolkit vvvv. Boxes of Light is an interactive projection mapping whereat movements and position of the visitors are captured with a Microsoft Kinect. The movements are used to generate visual effects which are projected back to the arrangement of white boxes with a short-throw-projector. The visitors position is used to calculate the projected geometry in the correct way to maintain the projection mapping effect altough the visitor is moving.
